• A skin substitute is being applied to the area to assist in wound healing.
• The substitute will be applied weekly in clinic, until directed by a provider.
• DO NOT REMOVE the bandage at home in between bandage changes.
•If the bandage becomes loose-reinforce the dressing with
bandaids/medical tape
• If the dressing comes off-replace the dressing with Vaseline,
bandaid, or non-adherent pad and medical tape. Then call the
office.
• Keep the area dry when showering and bathing, this means covering it with a waterproof
bandage or using a “shield” as needed.
• You may experience drainage from the site as the wound is healing.
• Call the office with any questions or concerns as needed.
